The 2016 Lowrider Denver Super Show was just recently held at the huge National Western Complex where over 500 entries were featured. There were three floors at this spacious venue that included select areas for the Hydraulic Hop Competition and the Bicycle and Pedal Car exhibits. As usual, custom lowriders, bombs, trucks, and motorcycles were everywhere on display. There were numerous quality rides that traveled an average of 16 hours to unload their full show vehicles off of trailers and onto 20×20 jackstand displays.
Axalta Coating Systems was the proud sponsor of this show and as part of their commitment to support lowriders and the Lowrider Denver Tour Stop and Show, Axalta selects a vehicle of choice from the whole show that best defines the “Outstanding Use of Color” Award. Axalta Coating Systems are the leading provider of innovative products, services, and solutions designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the vehicle refinish process. From multi-colored candies, pearls, and OEM colors, the selective choice was a two-tone blue nostalgic Suburban slammed on the floor. The owner and builder was none other than Fred Perez from the Old Memories Car Club Denver chapter. This well-known schoolteacher gave us a lesson with his prized creation by thinking different when it came to choosing the right color combo to add uniqueness to his special ride. See for yourself why Axalta selected this submissive Sub as their “Outstanding Use of Color” Award choice.
